All directions describe coming from the Owego, NY area.

Take exit 64 from the Route 17 Expressway.  Follow Rt. 17 into Owego, continuing north onto Rt. 96 toward Ithaca.  Rt. 96 will meet Rt. 38.  Continue straight onto Rt. 38, northbound.  See also map below.

Directions to Bement-Billings Farmstead

The Bement-Billings Farmstead is located one mile north of the traffic light in Newark Valley, on Rt. 38.  It is on the left (if traveling south on Rt. 38, it is on the right a few miles after the Town of Berkshire) and is visible from the roadside.

The Newark Valley Railroad Depot and Museum

The Newark Valley Railroad Depot is located in the Village of Newark Valley. Travel on Rt. 38 to Newark Valley. Turn left at the traffic light (if you are arriving from the south) on to Water Street. Cross the old trestle bridge. Bear right onto Whig Street. Go one block and turn left on to Depot Street.

Directions to the Newark Valley Historical Society Office

The Newark Valley Historical Society Office is located in the Village Municipal Building (above the Post Office) on Park Street in Newark Valley, NY. The turn to Park Street is one block south of the traffic light.  If traveling north on Rt. 38, the building is on the right.  If traveling south, the building is on the left.
